First, Coronado beaches have an exposed beach break, which means it has dependable waves that aren’t too intense. These moderate waves are perfect for beginning surfers. Coronado Surfing Academy
Coronado Surfing Academy first opened its doors in 2004 and it’s been a staple in Coronado ever since. They give lessons to people of all ages, from ages 6 and up. And importantly, their #1 priority is providing a safe environment for their students. All the instructors are First Aid and CPR certified and are professionals, so you’re in good hands.
Here, you can take lessons Monday-Saturday and each lesson is an hour long. You’ll get professional instruction, a wetsuit, and a surfboard for each lesson, so you don’t have to worry about not having your own equipment. You also have the option of individual or group lessons.
